“Authentication failed” / 401
Your marketplace session expired. Sign in to the marketplace in a normal tab, then open Marketplaces and switch its toggle on again (for eBay, click Connect Ebay). Takes 10 seconds.
“Captcha required” / 403
The marketplace wants to verify you're human. Open the marketplace in a normal tab, complete the captcha, then return to Closo and retry.
“Category required”
The marketplace needs a category Closo couldn't auto-pick. Open the product and pick a category in the Category picker under Master fields — Closo translates it for every marketplace.
“Photo upload failed”
Usually a transient marketplace issue. Wait 60 seconds, click the red marketplace icon on the product row and choose Retry on <Market>. If it persists, the photo file may be corrupt — re-upload it to Closo.
“Item specifics missing” (eBay)
eBay's 2024 update made many fields required. The editor lists them in the eBay requires for this category block — fill them in (Brand, Size Type, Color, etc.) and retry.
“Listing exceeds limits”
Some marketplaces cap how many active listings you can have (Mercari 1500, Vinted 5000). Delist sold/old items first.
“Title too long”
Title limits: Poshmark 60 chars, eBay 80, Mercari 80, Depop 65, Vinted 60, Shopify 200. Closo will trim — but you may want to write a shorter title yourself.
