What's new in Closo — May 2026 update

Big two weeks at Closo — bell notifications, Closo Cloud (early), the cookie-freshness framework, and a long list of smaller polish wins. Dated: May 7-14, 2026.

Two weeks of updates. Dated May 7-14, 2026. The biggest change is Closo Cloud — cloud-side browsers that keep your Vinted, Depop, Poshmark, and Mercari connections warm even when your computer is off. Rolling out to Unlimited subscribers ($59/month) this week. Free ($0) and Pro ($29/month) sellers keep the workflows they already have.

Notifications bell (new)

There is now a bell icon in the top-right of every Closo seller page. Click it to see recent activity in your account — listings posted, items sold, marketplace reconnects, smart alerts when something keeps failing. A red dot tells you something is unread; tap the notification to mark it read.

The bell replaces the old hidden notification list and brings information that used to be buried in your inbox right into Closo. If you missed a sale notification because the email went to spam, the bell shows it in-app.

Closo Cloud (new — Unlimited)

Closo now runs a dedicated server-side Chrome for every Unlimited subscriber. It refreshes your marketplace cookies on a schedule and keeps your connections warm 24 hours a day — so your scheduled Sharer, Refresher, and Autopilot work keeps running while you sleep, travel, or sell from your phone.

Honest current coverage: Vinted around 85% offline-fresh, Depop around 70%, Poshmark around 40%, Mercari around 25%. The numbers will climb as we tune. Mercari is the toughest because its bot detection is the strongest in the resale space — no automation tool hits 100% on Mercari, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Cookie freshness framework (under the hood)

Behind the scenes, we launched a 5-layer system to keep marketplace cookies fresh: a passive read from your browser, a proactive refresh schedule, a Closo-side refresh path that Cloud rides on, in-browser refresh alarms in the extension, and repeated-failure detection that gets your attention when refresh fails repeatedly.

What you will feel: fewer reconnect prompts, less silent failure, and faster recovery when something does fail. The framework is the plumbing for Cloud — most of it runs invisibly.

Smart alerts when a marketplace action keeps failing (Unlimited)

If the same marketplace action fails 5 or more times within 12 hours, Closo now tells you right away — a bell notification appears in the top-right of every Closo page, and on Unlimited an email follows too. Previously we would silently retry until you noticed; now you can step in and fix the issue before listings stall. Free and Pro sellers see these as bell notifications; Unlimited adds email so the alert reaches you even when you are not in Closo.

Mobile push notifications (coming soon)

Push notifications are coming when our mobile app launches in Q3 2026. Unlimited subscribers will get push for sales, captcha-required moments on Mercari, and reconnect prompts — straight to your phone, no laptop needed. No action needed today; we will let you know when the app is ready to download.

Security and privacy

Your marketplace connections are now stored with stronger encryption — eBay and Shopify both covered, every existing token migrated. Email addresses now require verification on new signups so a typo at signup does not strand your account. And the analytics we use to improve onboarding run on our own servers with personal information stripped before anything is recorded.

Bug fixes and smaller wins

You stay signed in more reliably
We extended how long you stay signed in to Closo when you are working in the dashboard. About a quarter of sellers were being silently signed out after stepping away for an hour — that should no longer happen.
The Deal Finder page now loads correctly
The Deal Finder page used to fail to load. Now it shows a real landing page where you can express interest in the feature cleanly.
Active Sourcing is now available in your dashboard
Sellers in the cohort can now open the Active Sourcing agent from the Agents menu. Previously the page was not reachable.
Onboarding skip buttons now actually skip
We closed a long-running issue where Skip on the goal or sourcing screens did nothing. Skip now moves you forward in the flow as expected.
The product editor shows a notice when Closo is briefly unavailable
If our system is briefly unavailable, the product editor now shows an amber notice at the top of the page so you know edits are read-only — instead of appearing to save and quietly failing.
Cleaner sidebar
Removed a duplicate menu entry that pointed at an old page. The Agents menu still works the same way.

What we are working on next

Per-agent cost views so you can see how much each AI agent costs you per week. Consistent on, off, and attention-needed states across Auto-Pricer, Sharer, and Title Booster. A new agent dashboard with finer on/off controls. And a tighter, simpler way to pause individual agents without affecting the rest.
